## SambaLite v2.5.7 ### Downloads - **APK**: For direct installation (sideloading) - **AAB**: For Google Play Store and other app stores - **mapping.txt**: R8 mapping file to de-obfuscate stack traces of this release ### Verification Both files include SHA256 checksums for integrity verification. ### Changelog ### Added - **AES-256 encryption for SMB 3.1.1 (issue #45)**: SMBJ only offered the AES-128-GCM and AES-128-CCM ciphers, so with "Require encryption (SMB3)" SambaLite could not connect to servers that allow only 256-bit ciphers, e.g. Samba with `server smb3 encryption algorithms = aes-256-gcm` or Windows with the cipher suite order restricted to AES-256. SambaLite now also offers AES-256-GCM and AES-256-CCM. The order follows Windows 11 (AES-128 first), so a server that requires AES-256 gets it while all other servers keep AES-128, which is about 20 % faster with the pure Java crypto SMBJ uses. The connection test shows the negotiated protocol and cipher, e.g. "Connection successful (SMB 3.1.1, AES-256-GCM)". SMBJ has no release with AES-256 yet, so the new `smbj-patch` module repackages the official SMBJ jar from Maven Central with eight patched classes; the same patch is proposed upstream. This also moves SMBJ from 0.14.0 to 0.15.0, whose new directory leases are switched off (`SmbClientConfigs`) so the app behaves as before. Verified against Samba 4.23.8 restricted to each of AES-256-GCM, AES-256-CCM and AES-128-GCM, and in the R8 release build on an emulator. - **Ascending and descending sort order (issue #36)**: The sort direction used to be fixed per criterion (name A–Z, date newest first, size largest first). The sort dialog now has an "Order" choice labelled for the selected criterion: A–Z or Z–A, oldest or newest first, smallest or largest first. Choosing another criterion starts with its usual direction, and users who never chose a direction keep the order they had.
